AVIATION FLIGHT SCHOOL

A major part of Phoebus Apollo Aviation is the well known Flight School, based at Rand Airport, Germiston. Founded in 1996 with a single Cessna C152, a leased Piper Arrow and a single Flight Instructor, the Flight School has grown considerably with a fleet now consisting of a Cessna C152, three Cessna C172's, a Cessna C172RG, used for advanced training. Piper Seneca and used for Multi-engine training.

At present the company employs five Instructors.

​In addition to the above the fleet, we have our Rotor wing section which consists of two Robinson R44, and Robinson R66.

Classic Collection of Taildraggers
We are proud to maintain a unique and historically rich classic collection of taildraggers, which includes a Piper J3 Cub, a de Havilland DH.82 Tiger Moth, Maule M5, and a Boeing Stearman. These iconic aircraft not only celebrate the golden era of aviation but are also fully operational and available for, vintage flight experiences, and specialized training.

Our Instructors are Captains and First Officers of the DC-9 who fly for the company's home airline Exclusive Alliance, Operated by Phoebus Apollo.
